Medical compression stockings are divided into two classes, which differ in the strength of pressure applied. This pressure is measured in millimeters of mercury (mmHg) and indicates how firmly the stocking compresses the leg veins.
- Medical Compression Stockings Class 1
The pressure range for this class is 18–21 mmHg. A Class 1 compression stocking is worn for mild venous conditions, for example when varicose veins have formed. If you frequently suffer from heavy, tired legs after sitting for long periods, or want to prevent venous problems during pregnancy, these medical compression stockings are ideal. They can also support vein function if you have a genetic predisposition to venous insufficiency. - Medical Compression Stockings Class 2
Class 2 medical compression stockings have a pressure range of 23 to 32 mmHg. They're recommended, for example, after surgery to help prevent the formation of blood clots. Because these medical compression products improve venous and lymphatic return, they're ideal for treating various circulatory conditions such as edema, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), varicose veins, and lymphedema.
This means Class 1 and Class 2 stockings can be used both for prevention and as supportive treatment for venous and lymphatic issues.
Medical Compression Stockings & Compression Tights – Up to Class 2
My range includes medical compression garments to support you in everyday life. Here you'll find compression tights and compression socks for women in Classes 1 and 2. Compression tights come in various styles — for example, as a closed-toe variant or one that ends at the midfoot. What makes these medical compression stockings special is their graduated compression, which improves venous and lymphatic flow. The material feels very soft against your skin and is highly breathable. For your comfort, they feature a shaped panty section and a soft, elastic waistband.
Class 1 compression socks can also support you if you have issues with venous or lymphatic return. They even have a massaging effect on your foot and are ideal for medical compression during various sports.
Compression Leggings as an Alternative to Tights for Medical Compression
Just like the tights, medical compression leggings can wonderfully be worn as everyday leggings — for example paired with blouses or long tops. They're opaque and also feature graduated compression. One advantage over tights: the leggings are made from a three-dimensional wave-textured fabric that provides a soothing massage effect on your legs.
The yarn is infused with the mineral additive FIR, which stimulates your body's natural thermal energy, creating a very pleasant warming and regulating effect. Your thighs, buttocks, and stomach can appear visibly firmer and more shaped. These leggings are suitable for medical compression and can, for example, be worn as a supportive treatment for lipedema.
Die Wonder Leggings – noch bequemer
If you don't necessarily need medical-grade compression but still want to wear pants with a gentle compression effect, then the Wonder Leggings are the perfect alternative for you. These leggings are incredibly comfortable, fit beautifully, and flatter your figure. At the same time, the integrated massage nodes woven into the inside shift the tissue layers against each other as you move, helping to stimulate the lymphatic system. With a pair of Wonder Leggings, you can say goodbye to tired legs and feel more energized all around. Unlike medical compression products, they fit more comfortably and are easier to put on. Be sure to give the Wonder Leggings a try! Of course, you can also combine them with compression stockings and tights.
